5 Cool Tips for Running a Successful Sports Fundraiser

Recruit Volunteers - Get Kids Involved.
If your sports group members are kids who are old enough to help, be sure to involve them and give them as much responsibility as possible. Fundraising is a great learning experience for kids - they'll get valuable organizational and leadership experience while they are raising money to help the team.

Sell Fundraising Products at All Your Games & Team Events.
Be sure to have your fundraiser items available for sale at your games. It's as easy as setting up a table and having someone available to answer questions, sell products and collect money. You can even have the announcer tell the crowd about the money-saving values in the Entertainment Book and what you hope to achieve with your sports fundraising efforts. Best of all, you don't even have to advertise, since people will be coming to your games anyway!

Plan Rewards for Top Sellers.
Ask local businesses (especially sporting goods retailers or other stores the team members like) to support your team fundraising efforts by donating gift certificates to reward top sellers on the team. This is a great opportunity for businesses to support the community and gain recognition.

Have Post-Game Parties at Restaurants You Find in the Entertainment Book.
If you're selling Entertainment Books, find coupons for favorite restaurants and stores and show everyone how quickly the book pays for itself with the fantastic savings. Your members will sell more when they're excited about what they're offering. Your family and friends can support your sports fundraiser while putting money back in their pockets!

Go Where the Sports Fans Are.
Take advantage of the traffic that sporting events and sporting goods retailers get. Who better to support a youngster's soccer team than a die-hard fan of the game? This tactic works great with the Entertainment Book because people know and love it; they often just don't know where to find it. Set up a table where fans and patrons congregate, and be ready to tell folks all about your team. (Be sure to talk to store or venue management to ask for permission first!)
